Health Care Reform is going to pass. In order to stop a Republican filibuster (The Tarrantino), a reconciliation bill needs to pass with a majority of votes in the Senate. This bill is 11 pages of recommendations which bridges the differences between the two bills that passed the House and the Senate in December. The republicans want to kill the bill, aka The Tarrantino (kill bill, get it?) The reconciliation bill is not bipartisan, even though three of the recommendations included were sponsored in the past by republican congressmen and senators.
The republicans in the House want President Obama to fail, regardless of what this country's citizens need. They want him to fail so that come next election, the republicans can win the majority in the House again, caring nothing for its own constituents or the rest of the American citizens.
The latest outrage to come out of Washington was the opinion of republican senator, John Kyle, "if anything, continuing to pay people unemployment compensation is a disincentive for them to seek new work." You know, those lousy unemployed people, lazing around, enjoying being unemployed.
The republicans hate President Obama so much, they're going crazy. Just look at Senator Bunning, who cut off thousands of people to continue their unemployment benefits without any rational reason. Luckily, he was shot down and that debacle which lasted for almost a full week, as been repaired.
