I read an article about Dade County Schools (fourth largest public school system in U.S.) connecting everyone into their computer system, i.e. teachers, principals, students, and parents.
For instance, parents can check their children's progress through class links, teachers can notify parents in real time via email or online phones, materials needed for teachers and principals are in one location - their computers.
I'm of the opinion that the one very interesting aspect about this new innovation is that some very technical savvy students will be spending a lot of time on how to hack it so that their parents will only experience frustration when they try to log on to see what their kids have been up to.
